Changing agents - How to make people "forget" my house

Hello lovely ladies,
Please can I have some hand holding and advice?
We've been on the market for a few months now. Decided to change agents as my current agent is useless. Not expecting much from the new agent, but I'm hoping it will help my property get some attention as a new listing on portals.
I plan to go off the market now and re-list in a couple of weeks time. Is there anything I can do to make people "forget" my house?
Its a lovely property, sadly we went on the market at a very quiet time so it didn't get a fair share of attention :(

The main thing would be to make sure you are on the market at the right price. Did you get any feedback from previous viewings at all and have you checked sold prices in the area ? The market in general is stagnant mainly due to brexit so to get a sale you do need to be priced to sell, not trying your luck to get as much as possible.

Hi Bilbodog, We are priced fairly but not on a bargain price. We had a handful of viewings and the feedback was very good, but the people who are keen are waiting to sell their properties. The price doesnt seem to be the issue (I checked sold prices and other properties on the market around us).

To be blunt, if your house isn't selling price is always an issue.

I came on the market in november only because we saw our dream house and agent suggested 575 which it might be worth in a better market. We had loads of viewings including over christmas and new year but although everyone said what a lovely house they all wanted something bigger for that price and we are a detached but small victorian cottage - some scope to enlarge but not by much so in january we dropped to 550 and very quicky accepted an offer of 540. So i would advise coming back on at a lower price and perhaps a front shot of the house from a different angle - however anyone seriously looking will quickly recognise you have been on before. Also by dropping the price a certain amount means rightmove automatically sends it out again and by lowering the price you will attract some people who havent seen it before. In fact that is how we found our dream house, accidentally, because it had a sale fall thru and they put it back to the market at a lower price and suddenly it came up in my search criteria. We are moving in next week.

The majority of people won't 'forget' your house. They'll see it come back on to rightmove with a different EA. It's your price.
