Loft conversion mansard with rear addition mid terrace dos don't?

Been reading an older thread on loft dos and dont's which has been really useful. However, people are talking about different shapes that wouldn't apply to us (like hip to gable) so not always comparing like to like.
We're mid terrace, victorian conversion with rear addition, North London, upper flat, loft demised to us.

If anyone could share their experiences of if that would be great.

One thing we're already disagreeing on is Juliet balcony, I think it's a bit of a waste of wall space, hard to just have open a crack if it's the only window and potentially harder to block light out in the summer nights but DH thinks they have the "wow factor" in terms of future sale value and should be done..

Have you checked that the walls to the ground floor are structurally strong enough for a loft conversion?

If the ground floor is owned by others and they have original walls or if they have knocked through it might mean that your loft conversion will require extra support and affect the ground floor.

Obviously if this is already checked and confirmed then ignore my post.

Thank you. Not had a party wall survey done yet but many others in the area have conversions and the loft companies quoting said they didn't envisage a problem as used to these houses but for sure survey will be needed.
