Has anyone been? Is it worth a visit? Would be approx 2 hour drive so don't want to turn up to just a handful of trade stands.
We currently have planning permission to add an extension on our house and hope to convert a small outbuilding into a 2 bed annexe at a later date.

We went to Birmingham last year. I managed to find free tickets online....there's loads about so do search until you find them!

We went to get some ideas and bits and pieces for a loft conversion.

In all honesty, I didn't really rate it for us. What was there was great but SOOOO expensive. Lots of stands with timber framed houses, heating systems, beautiful wooden sash windows, that kind of thing, all top quality. All with a very hefty price tag!

It seemed the kind of thing that if you had a bottomless budget and wanted to build a grand country retreat with all mod cons, it was worth going. For your average DIYer on a budget, I wouldn't bother.

We exhibit there. This year it’s really big. You can download free tickets on our website if you like - www.arkhi.co.uk.

I was there yesterday and the one thing I would say is that there are a lot of window companies this year! However there’s an awful lot of other companies with other products, I would say it’s deffo worth a visit if you are planning either a new build or a really comprehensive whole house refurbishment or large extension. Hope that helps

I agree with chimchar - it seemed to be aimed at people building grand designs from scratch. We went as new buyers with work to do and there just didn't seem to be anyone pushing for work smaller than full construction.

Ironically, we go to the Grand Designs show regularly, and it's a lot more geared to the small stuff!
