Bit fed up really . Not much coming on and what is coming on is over priced . I'm under offer but can't find a decent place to move to.

Think I may end up with nothing. Sigh

Depends where you live op, I’m in Herts and lots on the market, lots not selling though.

Babysharkdododont · 22/03/2019 20:44

The market is buoyant where I am, but I think we're well outside of the norm.

Yumyumbananas · 22/03/2019 20:58

Loads for sale where I am but no one is buying!

Angelf1sh · 22/03/2019 20:59

I’ve had mine on the market for 6 months and no offers.

It's moving insanely fast in Manchester. We've lost out on two houses we put offers on and haven't even got through the door of two of three because they sold within days. We're paying a fortune in rent as we'll!

Glitteryfrog · 22/03/2019 21:53

Mixed bag here.
We sold ours quickly and found somewhere easily (someone else had dropped out) - in fact we missed out on a couple of properties by not being under offer. But there is stuff which has been languishing on the market for months.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 22/03/2019 21:55

(Not buying but love to keep an eye on the local properties for sale) I have noticed ridiculously high prices still and properties not moving. Don’t be afraid to be cheeky in your offers

Theyellowsquare · 22/03/2019 21:58

Im on the south coast and work in conveyancing. The market is falling. We are actually really busy, loads of new clients. The agents are saying it's only the 'realistically priced' that are going. They are going though, transaction levels are high. We are taking on as many clients as we can anticipating a fall in demand but it hasn't happened yet.

DavetheCat2001 · 22/03/2019 22:21

Lots of overpriced properties round my way either languishing on the market, or being dropped in price.

As a PP said, stuff that is priced realistically is selling, but people still holding out for 2016 silly-money, are going to be disappointed!

jemihap · 23/03/2019 01:35

Angelf1sh - 6 months with no offers means its seriously overpriced, you might as well just stop wasting everyone's time (including your own) and take it off the market if you're not willing to have it on at a sensible and realistic price.

lboogy · 23/03/2019 01:56

I'm in London. You're right. I've seen properties priced property go to bids so I guess I'm seeing only ones that are over priced or nothing coming on. I thought spring was when lots come on the market but I think many people are holding out
EA did say it was quiet and surveyor told me he's seeing 10% price drops

Jemihap I know that a property is. Only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it, but I’m not dropping the price because I don’t think it’s overpriced. Two other flats in my block took three years to sell and it’s priced realistically against what they sold for, not against what they originally wanted. I don’t actually have to move so I’m happy to wait out the Brexit nervousness. Where I live nobody British would buy, it’s definitely foreign-buyer territory, so they want to know what is happening before they commit.

We are trying to sell in London and have had almost 20 viewings but no offers. Just dropped price as we want to relocate and can't afford to wait for things to pick up.
