We've had a new conservatory (new glasswork on existing walls); it's a Victorian style so some of the roof radiates out from a point. We are trying to check it out so we can spot and report snags.
I've been playing the hosepipe over it to see if it is watertight. At one stage I was (unintentionally, honest!) pushing water uphill, up the roof to the fan-out-point, and some water came through to the inside.
Is this a problem or not?
Obviously, rain doesn't go uphill so this wouldn't normally be a problem. But if water can get in, then wind can too. Will we have problems with wind moaning through the crack (we had this with the old, worn-out conservatory) or is it supposed to be like that for ventilation purposes?
i.e. can MN let me know what is a reasonable complaint before I make an idiot of myself or, alternatively, save me from glazier BS.
TIA
