Sagging/bowed ceiling/floors

Anyone dealt with sagging/bowed ceilings/floor?

We viewed a house today that we love but the ceiling has acted in the living room and the floor in one of the bedrooms.

Taylor wimpey own it as a part exchange and they had a survey and was told to put in a metal brace on a beam in the middle of the room.

One side of the rooms ceiling and floor upstairs is fine but the other is bowed massively!

Just wondering what sort of cost to fix? We will get a structural engineer out to survey the property, but wondered if anyone else had been in a similar situation.

it could range from a simple repair and level the floor (more difficult to level the ceiling of there are cornices or other plaster decorations) to complete replacement of the floor (we had to do this on a recent project.
Get the engineer's report to establish what needs done.
Be aware that the seller's report may only highlight what needs done to stop further movement but not what is required to remedy the existing deflection (sagging). The cosmetic repairs may be much more expensive than the structural repair
