New interiors advice

We're cosmetically redoing the insides of our new house. Is there anything that we should think of adding that would make life a bit more future proof or just things that I might not think of immediately.

I'm talking about things like plug sockets everywhere we would need (am guessing usb plug sockets are pointless). Hot water tap in the kitchen? Under floor heating in the bathroom? That type of thing.

All of what you mentioned. I’m not sure how big your house is, but these have worked for us:
top class granite or indestructible worktops which don’t need resealing (therefore not Wood),
a laundry room,
well made modern taps,
high quality glass for shower enclosure which should be as big as possible, ditto the bath which should feel solid,
install a water softener if you have hard water,
all door and window handles to match, flooring to be high quality and easy to clean, rooms to have layers of lighting, lots of task lighting in kitchen,
built in storage everywhere,
plain unobtrusive radiators,
a classy front door with attractive door furniture,
a neat and welcoming approach to the house,
induction hob and two ovens,
If you have a breakfast bar, sockets for phones/laptop
Large towel rad in bathroom (s)
Finishes to be in the style of the house.

There’s probably more. Sorry the list is a bit random.

No, that's excellent thanks @BubblesBuddy

I'm worried about missing some obvious stuff, so this is really helpful

Why not the usbs? Are they likely to become obsolete? Sorry not adding anything to the thread- just curious (and invested as we're about to do a huge remodel of our downstairs)!

Work out plug locations for every room based on where the furniture will go. Imagine daily life re plugging in hoovers, chargers etc.

Where will the Christmas tree go?

How about a pantry. We recently converted a large under stairs cupboard into a lovely pantry. Wish we’d done it years ago. So much room for larger items like cereals and jars.

Also a cordless or robot vacuum cleaner.
