Hi all, can anyone tell me which bulb to buy to replace these? These were the bulbs fitted when we first moved in, but they don't seem to be available to buy in the shop. Thanks in advance.

It's a Compact Flurescent. You can now get LED lamps at comparable prices, they last longer, are more economical to run, and light immediately.

You haven't shown the cap. If you are in the UK it is most likely a Bayoyonet Cap (B22) which is the most common standard size. Other countries are usually different.

Because LEDs are more efficient, if you get the same wattage, it will be a bit brighter. Yours is an 11W CFL, so an 8W or 9W LED might do. That's the size you might use in a bedside or table lamp, it is not bright enough to illuminate a room.

Here are some examples

(the Tesco ad says "60W" but that's not true. It is actually 9.5W. They say "60W" because it gives about as much light as a 60W Incandescent (filament) lamp from the 1960's and they are trying to help older people.

These lamps are not dimmable.

We got some good value LED bulbs from Screwfix and Toolstation.
