Buyers making an offer on my house before even viewing it

I put my house up for sale this week and it went on Rightmove yesterday. I've had one viewing and have another 2 booked in for next week.

This morning, less than 24 hours after going live, my estate agent informs me that one of the viewers booked in for next week wants to make me a good offer even though they haven't viewed the house yet. They say they 'know' my house but I've no idea how or who they are although they are local.

As far as I understand, they have taken out a bridging loan in order to buy mine as theirs is not on the market yet. I've suggested that they go ahead with the viewing first before we discuss any offers etc.

I've never heard of anything like this before. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of something similar please?

Can you set a date and ask them all for best and final offers and see what you get?

if someone offered the right money I seriously would nt care if theyd seen the house in the flesh or not. It would sold as seen, simples! (at least no mad rushing about to clean and hide the washing lol!)

Did you get your 3rd viewing OP? I am would continue viewings over the weekend if it suits you. Sounds like your EA just wants to wrapped up quick and do minimum work. I would be milking this - you might be in for thousands. Do you have somewhere to go - or are you still looking?

Options are re market around Easter at higher price / with an open house - or work to get the two buyers to bid up.

On reflection the first buyer must have known it was undervalued to have offered and not seen - also no2 offering full asking - and no3 insisting on seeing it - must be well out price wise and or v rare?

So supply and demand in your favour - work it to your advantage!!
