Help cleaner damaged tiles in new house

Moved house 6m ago. New build. Finally convinced OH to get cleaner and today I noticed the tiles in our own bathroom seem to have lost the glaze in spots. I could cry. It looks awful and feels rough when you touch it.

I use cleaner in both way as she has only been one two weeks ago but I can’t find anything we have used that might do it and Shen mentioned using HG Scale away in the bathrooms but I assumed the sinks only. So I might have been us or her. Either way not intentional. OH Wants to go back to doing all our own cleaning (both work full time and 3story house)

I just want to see if we can fix it without replacing the brand new tiles!!!

It might be the sealing stuff which has come off. You could try resealing the tiles? They are stone right?

Does scale away say not to use on tiles on the back?

I would phone the tile manufacturer. As it's a new build the builder will know where the tiles came from.

Scale away, for lime scale, dissolves calcium. Limestone is made of calcium and so is marble. If they are stone you may be able to get someone to re-polish out the mark, if it's just dissolved the very top surface.

Definitely tell her not to use limescale remover anymore.

Sorry, meant to say, assume they are stone and not ceramic tile?

Does the cleaner bring their own products? If so, I think you need to check them all against the materials in your bathroom.
Our cleaner uses our products so we don't have this issue. Getting rid of the cleaner isn't going to be the answer particularly if you're not sure if you or she used the product that caused the harm.
