What flooring can you have throughout with a downstairs WC, hallway and kitchen??

Does anyone have the same flooring in all these three areas?

WC and kitchen need to be waterproof, but the hallway doesn't. I love hardwood flooring but it isn't waterproof.

Tiles are waterproof but so cold. I'm also worried if my 5 year old falls down the stairs falling on to a tiled floor would be very painful.

Is there a solution to all three areas?

How can you have flooring running through there rooms serving different purposes?

We have concrete floors too but the Kardean is fine on them for warmth. They screed the floor first anyway. And YY to the gods sliding on it if they are running!

What about wood effect laminate. The tongue and groove stuff that is water resistant. Can that go on concrete with underlay and feel warm?

Those tiles are absolutely beautiful GoodGirlsGuide, would you mind saying what they are called and where you got them from?

We have engineered oak in hall, family room and kitchen but tiles in loo. It feeels lovely and warm but is on a suspended floor rather than concrete.

Another vote for Kardean here. I've also used Amtico in the master bathroom & ensuites.

We used Kardean Spanish Cherry parquet in the hallway, downstairs loo & kitchen. Our kitchen has underfloor heating. We love it! Looks good (no scratches or dents) even after building works, two young cats & a teen who walks on it wearing his football boots.

My fitter said not to use a steam cleaner as it affects the adhesive.

We are having a similar problem. But we need flooring throughout our hall, large living/dining room, office, kitchen, utility and playroom.

Due to the layout we really want the same flooring for all rooms but finding something that works and is affordable for over 90m2 seems virtually impossible.

@mrstumbletap, we have a wet underfloor heating system that is a part of our central heating system, attached to the boiler.
