Average kitchen fitting cost?

Hi - just need a guide from others who've recently installed new kitchens - completely replace units wall coverings, move and install plugs, new sink and plumbing, install laminate floor and some plaster work. The kitchen shop recommends getting own fitters as it's cheaper. I'm not sure...I've been quoted just over £3000 for a small kitchen roughly u-shape and the units are pre-made not flat-pack. Bearing in mind this price includes a few new plugs and moving an oven plug and some new plumbing under sink. Positions of appliances in same places no major change. The fitting costs almost as much as the kitchen. Is this reasonable (in the North West)?? Time-consuming to get more quotes and tradesmen in. They will also remove old units and tiles & I provide the skip. Thoughts?

I would expect that to take 10 days for a competent builder so even at 200 per day, your quote is high. Lots of tradesmen cost from 120 to 200 per day. Depending on the fitters expertise it may be better to get the flooring laid separately. A good plumber and kitchen fitted could do everything except the electrics as you should get someone who can give you part P certification.

If you source all tradesmen yourself then you will get lower costs.
