Light oak kitchen units with distressed oak vinyl floor..too much wood?

Hi
Currently embarking on a big job..and wondered if anyone had experience of matching a light oak kitchen with a vinyl wood effect floor..which I like..it’s called distressed oak and has a grey with some warmth/faint yellow hues.. ...so bit of contrast there to the light oak which has light ashen with bit of yellow hue.
It’s hard to describe accurately... but you get my drift I hope!
Just fearful that I’m over doing the wood...the whole room will become a kitchen diner..we are knocking a wall down, so I want the vinyl to look ok in dining area too..that’s why I’m not so keen on tiles...
Has anyone got this type of kitchen? Or seen one similar...
How dors it look?
Be great to get some opinions and options from everyone...
Ali

Oh crikey, might it not end up looking like a big old sauna with all that wood? You could have tile effect vinyl to lessen the effect maybe?

How about a parquet effect flooring? It would look better in the dining room end than tiles but be practical for the kitchen.

What work top and kick boards are you having. If everything is wood effect that would be a bit much.
You may be able to break it up if the worktop is not wood.
What about a painted wood on the cabinets.

Not sure it it helps, but here’s mine. Cedar and Amtico spacia.

Yeah too much wood. What about a slate effect floor?

Not keen on the sound of all that wood.
Bit like doing Double Demin

I've just had my floor replaced and was thinking of vinyl, then engineered wood- then went for solid in the end. a company called UK Hardwoods in Devon delivered to my house- and it was way cheaper than all my other options! I have a solid ash floor thats quite light in colour and looks perfect in the kitchen where I wanted it quite light and airy. My cupboards are all oak and I have a slate worktop.

Thanks everyone... well as the floor will run through to a dining area feel tile look would be wrong... but yes was worried it might be too much wood as the dining table and chairs and a sideboard will be wood too....
Not really keen on any of the colours with our kitchen supplier.. but husband won’t go anywhere else as they are reasonably competively priced. I don’t want a light colour or a dark colour ...seems a lot of white and light grey about at the moment and navy...and green.. not keen on any of those... so I’m in a bit of a bind.. as I like the natural wood look kitchen and want the vinyl floor in wood effect.. must say the floor is a grey so bit of a contrast.. the work surface will be a marble effect quartz in a white.. and I thought I might bring some blue in on one wall...
Really I’m in a interior design total quandary... have no idea how to make it all gel...
I would like real wood floor too goodmanpolly but that will blow the budget! It’s an idea though a paler floor maybe.. but fear it would show the dirt too quickly and I’d be forever cleaning it! How are you getting on with it?

Tile effect floor in dining area can look nice. I have seen some nice CE kitchen diners with tiles+ufh and it looked nice.

If you are keen on wood effect floor then don't go for wooden kitchen. Get painted one.
