Hello
We moved last year into a large, early Victorian house in need of a LOT of TLC. We've saved our pennies and are prioritising the windows, which were neglected very badly for years - thin, wobbly, drafty and rotting. We splashed out on refurbishing the front bay windows, and are now getting really good uPVC woodgrain effect sashes put into the original boxes around the side and back. The effect will be no howling gales through the house when the windows are closed (yay), but I'm conscious that sealing up the house can lead to condensation problems within. I'm very good at opening windows for a bit to air the house, even in winter, but I'd like to invest in a really good dehumidifier that can cope with a three storey, five bedroom house with big rooms and high ceilings... I'd prefer to just get one and am prepared to spend a bit of money to get something that will forestall any problems. Please could someone suggest one? Compressor or desiccant, whichever is considered best, but preferably energy efficient obviously...
Thank you in advance for your advice.
