Have you had your kitchen cabinets wrapped?

Has anyone had their kitchen cabinets re-wrapped and can answer a few questions for me to help me decide what to do?

Who did you use?
Did you have your worktop done as well
Did they do the whole kitchen including end panels and kickboards?
Would you do it again?
Were your cabinets good quality to start with or did you have Ikea/b&q type kitchen?
How well has it lasted?
What did it cost/how many cabinets did you have covered?

I have friends who have had it done and have shown me pictures but I’ve not seen a re-wrapped cabinet in real life so I’m looking for some real life experiences

I’m sorry not to be of any help, but an intrigued by this idea.

Have never heard of it. Do you have any more information?

Hopefully someone else will come along soon.

@wolfclub I haven't had mine wrapped but looked I to getting them professionally resorted or painted, it would cost less just to buy new doors so that what were going to do x

Wolfcub · 23/02/2019 08:54

WBWIFE thank you. New doors unfortunately isn’t an option as the end panels and kickboards are also in need of attention.

Having had a look at the site you linked to and others & reviews I'd be a bit hesitant about this. I really wonder what heat & moisture will do & how long they will last.

PS I think you may well find that companys who do new doors will also do end panels. And kick board does not have to match - you can go for quite a nice contrast or something that goes with your flooring.

NotMeNoNo · 23/02/2019 09:44

Any range of kitchen doors comes with matching trims, end panels etc, so if replacing doors you can usually get those done too. They're only held on with a few screws.

WBWIFE · 23/02/2019 09:47

Yes I agree with @notmenono

We are replacing the doors, trims, end panels and kickboard. As well as the extractor hood as ours is the ugliest I've ever seen!

peeree · 23/02/2019 09:50

We need to replace our IKEA doors to our kitchen. The quality has been dreadful after only 3 years and is coming apart in several places. The insides are great though. I'm just starting looking at companies that do this. Any suggestions?

WBWIFE · 23/02/2019 09:55

@peeree you can buy kitchen doors from anywhere and get a kitchen fitter to replace. Tbh they're just held on by screws you could just replace them yourself x

NotMeNoNo · 23/02/2019 16:36

peeree Google for Plykea

Sorry to lower the tone, but an image of a kitchen covered in reindeer paper and bows sprang to mind.
