Has anyone successfully had it removed? We own a 1930 semi and ideally like to apply silicone KRend. Concerned that the brickwork underneath may be damaged or that we cause damp issues if we render.

Keep it and change your surname to Duckworth..

Our neighbours just did, seems very successful but it's early days.

Surely you'd rather know about any crappy brickwork than not? But allow for an extra %200 on the cost of the works....

Tulips2lips · 15/02/2019 09:53

It's a pretty common job to hack it off and re render...

All the houses on my road have just painted over, no one has removed the pebbledash. Which makes me wonder whether it would be a good idea. I have asked two builders for a quote and neither have got back to me. So no idea of even the cost.

Think you'll find that was stone cladding

We had horrid looking beige/brown pebbledash that was blown in parts.

Replacing it with a paler white/grey pebbledash and landscaping the front garden has made an enormous difference to kerb appeal.

Someone has done it across the road from my DM it looks so much better...

Follow Instagram account @since_1859. They did it themselves and it looks great.
