Hi, need a bit of advice, so if anyone is an estate agent or has been in this position with their agent please let me know.
We listed our house at the end of November and have had a few veiwings but no offers. Last week another house in our village went up for sale (same style) but £20k less, ours is nicer I.e. new kitchen/bathroom/carpets but we were advised to drop our price by 2% that way we would go to the top of rightmove again and attract more interest. We are in a hurry to move so agreed to this. Today I check our house on the internet and it's been dropped by 3% this is not what I agreed. Oblivious they are not going to increase the price, but 1% is a lot of money for us, I was going to suggest they waiver their fee which is 1.5% thoughts please...

You can ask, but I doubt they'll waive their fee over what sounds like an administrative error.

Just tell them the error and get them to fix it - not sure what can be done about the Rightmove but as the EA.

It's your house, you set the price, they only advise. Take ownership. Call them and tell them to correct it - to whatever price you want there.

Thanks, I've left a message for them to correct , conveniently our agent isn't available to talk!
