Mud Mats

Has anyone had an experience of the floor mats that are supposed to trap dirt?
We have two dogs and have recently had a light tiled floor fitted in the utility room (to make the small room look bigger} which needs constant cleaning because the dogs run directly out of the garden through the utility into the kitchen.
I have heard of various makes, Hug Mats. Turtle Mats, Dirt Trappers and Mud Matters to name a few but was wondering if anyone can give me some advice as to which are the best.
Thanks

they help a bit, but not as much as you would expect from the way they are advertised. I have a big turtle mat in the hall and it definitely helps to dry wet feet (human and canine) better than a regular door mat, but they're not that effective on muddy feet or paws really.

I keep a towel by the door for wiping muddy paws but that only really works if you are with the dog as it goes in and out of the house. Mine doesn't roam free in the garden because he digs and destroys the flower beds!

Turtle mats might be OK for a teeny tiny dog. I found they were fine until I had a dog and now I have towels for when he comes in.

I spend HOURS and HOURS cleaning up mud. I'm always looking for a solution.

Hoping someone suggests something.

We have turtle mats and have found them great. Our dog isn’t s digger though? The bigger surface area you get between door and tile, the better it will be (two mats would be good) but I find it takes the worst of it and having a spray mop nearby does the rest.

Thank you all for your advice.

I’ve got a combination of turtle mats and hug rugs (at different doors). Neither really cut it with big dogs. The only solution I’ve found is wiping their paws with a towel as they come back inside (which is a pain in the neck!).
