Condensation window advice

We have just bought our first house (very exciting!) It is a 70's terraced, well looked after for the most part, however our bedroom window which is a large double glazed unit that runs wall to wall, collects a lot of condensation on the inside so the wetness is on the glass our side of the window (not inbetween the glass but on the side you can touch from the room if that makes sense) it's also making the wall above damp, we are opening the window everyday to clear the condensation but the room is very cold and we are expecting a new baby, all the other windows are the same type of unit but none have this problem. Do you think the unit needs replacing? This being our first house I have no idea about windows and whether this could be a repair or replace job. I would be grateful for any advice!

Just air the room as you're doing.

It's the moisture in the air condensing on the cold surface of the glass. not a faulty window.
You need to air the room as stated, and try to reduce moisture in the air. Close the bathroom door after a shower, open a window, don't have wet washing everywhere, open windows to let the steam out when cooking etc.
