Reducing pressure on boiler

I've accidently increased the pressure on my boiler too high and now it's climbing when the heating/hot water is on. Tried bleeding the radiators but it's just water coming out. If I drain each one enough to reduce the pressure will they automatically fill back up?

Anyone know before I wreck the whole system lol

You only need to drain from one point, the whole system is one closed loop.

There may be a larger drain on the inlet of one of the lowest radiators, which will have ten times the flow of a radiator bleed valve.

Through whatever outflow, take out half a litre of water, check the pressure again. Repeat if needed :)

Yes just bleed water out of the nearest radiator until the pressure drops back to where it should be, it'll be fine.

Place you definitely switched it off and it’s not still filling up the pressure? We had this and the lever was still open a bit so was still filling up the system

Ok great thankyou I'll go try that and report back! 👍

We did exactly same the other day and just bled a glass of water or two out of a radiator to reduce the pressure.

All working and back to normal!

Thanks for the help all! 😁
