What am I meant to do with search results?

Just that really. We have had all of the searches back and I would like to know if we are expected to go through them with a fine tooth comb or is that the solicitors job? Does the solicitor sit and discuss the findings with you or is it up to us to raise any concerns?

Obviously we will be reading them and reporting back anything that sticks out but some of it I don't understand and I am worried I may miss something!

@makingithappen its your solicitors job to go through these and pick out anytging of concern, explain it to you, and check you are happy with it.

Usually they are all fine with nothing to worry about.

I would read them myself and if there's anything you are unsure about, ask your solicitor.

I expect i may have read them; went through my contract pack quite thoroughly, but we have an unusual coach house setup - so i read every page of the three garage leases we would be landlord to plus covernants of close and went to my solicitor with all the questions i had.

@wowfudge i agree it would be a good idea to read them, can never be too careful.

I was advised to read them thoroughly and respond that I was happy with them or raise my concerns.

My solicitor did flag areas of further enquiry though

Read them, but expect them to state the obvious if you're buying a standard house.

Our solicitor just sent a load of random pages photocopied with odd sections highlighted and that was about it. We didn't know what to do either but the house is still up
