Labels on new loo - aaaarrgghh!

We've recently had a new bathroom fitted. The new loo was adorned with a plethora of labels - most of which I can't get off! Just wondering if anyone has a magic solution to remove the blighters? I don't much fancy grovelling around the toilet bowl scraping them off with my finger nails for hours!

Dampen them with olive oil. Leave them to soak for a wee while. They should come of really easily after that. Congratulations on your new bathroom. Grin

Following - in the same boat!

We've had this with a new washing machine so watching with interest. Covered in huge stickers recommending particular washing liquids and a huge one about the warranty.
Peeled them so carefully and it's just left huge sticky circles on my new washer. No amount of warm soapy water is getting them off.

Magic sponge and the usual not an option as the washer is "silver" so anything too harsh and it will take the colour off.

Sticky Stuff Remover. You'll get it in Wilko, B&Q, Robert Dyas etc. Can use it on everything!

Steam cleaner?

@Justmuddlingalong - thanks! I'm off to try that now. Will report back! (thanks for bathroom congrats - it's amazing. Replaced a 1970s avocado monstrosity!)

Try a babywipe

Update (in case anyone is interested!)... Olive oil did indeed work! Ended up soaking some kitchen roll in it and pressing it on the label (where it stuck) to make sure it was soaked in. Got the labels off with minimal effort. Still some residual sticky bits left so I'll give the Sticky Stuff remover a try.
Thanks all!
