would they not be integrated into their own cupboards?

sorry posted too soon...either side by side, or drier over washer, i don't suppose the location of the cupboard matters

You can stack freestanding ones and put those in a cupboard - have a look on Pinterest.

Thanks!

Yes I know you can stack freestanding ones, but those are a bit too big for the space I have...I basically have one 600mm floor space for a washing machine and drier (including the door), one on top of the other, so can't have freestanding ones. I just wasn't sure if integrated ones are somehow not safe to stack since they haven't been designed for that purpose?!

Sorry also they need to align with the rest of the cupboards hence why I can't use freestanding ones!

I would check with the manufacturer

Sorry for boring answer Smile

Each appliance has a separate door. Each appliance can have its own space. You build a cupboard to match the appliances and you need a “floor” for the appliance that’s on top built into the cupboard. I cannot see how you can stack machine on machine with doors aligned. They just won’t. Think of each machine having it’s own cupboard.

Thanks bubbles, yes that's basically what I mean (poorly explained!) they don't need to both fit inside one cupboard but rather sit on top of each other with some kind of stacking self, and then front doors/panels put around to make it look like a a cupboard iyswim

Integrate washing machines typically stand on the floor and between two cabinets. There are 600mm wide so won’t fit in a 600mm cabinet. You would need a wider cabinet to fit one in and the doors mounted to the cabinet rather than the washer. So essentially it will become a washing machine inside a cabinet rather than an intergrated washing machine.

integrated doors also have a gap for the plinth.

Thanks London, I totally get that-I'm not looking for a cupboard to put them in but wonder if I can put one on top of the other with a stacking shelf. Then put front doors/panels on to make it look like a cupboard...basically what you would do to stack two freestanding machines but only sticking out as far as the other units...

Check with the manufacturer. Its the only way.
