Buyers wanted to measure

Can someone please advise me as to the equitte of this please... the agent has called to say the buyers (not yet exchanged) want to come round this weekend to measure for furniture.

Is this normal? Should I say yes? How long should I give them? Or is this a no-no?! Thank you! NB. I’m aware I’m asking lots of questions today!Grin

Thanks everyone! I genuinely don’t mind, I just had never heard of it before but this is my first sell.

It's totally normal. And a very good sign. We went to measure twice, once for our own furniture and again to check that a propsed new sofa would fit and also wanted to check the light in rooms for paint shades. The vendors said we could go as many times as we needed to. I would do the same if selling.

I sold fairly recently and my buyers were a nuisance. Wanting to send architects, structural surveyors round, wanting to then come round and look at the garden fence etc. I agreed to all requests, but would not have dreamt of doing that to my own sellers.

We did it once when we were buying our house as our survey threw up loads of things that we needed to look at with our own eyes. I also wanted to look at where rads etc were so I could plan where furniture would go. And work out what furniture to sell/donate before we moved.

Re: it's a good sign that they're serious; not necessarily. It could work either way. My parents' vendors asked to pop round a couple of days before exchange and then pulled out.

They’ve been and gone... fingers crossed x
