Flush or raised shower trays.

Planning to redo the bathroom (so there may be many more questions questions from me!)

I was set on a flush shower tray, as I find the normal ones a bit clunky looking, but after reading I can see they’re not the better option if you end up having any issues with the plumbing underneath.

Different forums mainly say 2 different things - you’d either have to cut into the ceiling below (which in my case is the kitchen, and the boiler is directly below) or just lift up the shower tray to access (is this as easy as it sounds, or will it cause damage to tiles etc)

So if you do have a flush shower tray, have you found any problems with it? Is there an easier way to access the plumbing if something does go wrong?

Also, if you have a raised one, is there any way of having it less bulky?

Sorry I can’t answer about the shower tray but I recommend a look at this thread entitled Bathroom lessons learned - if you haven’t already.
