Everhot range cooker

Is it the answer to my prayers?

Our kitchen can't have any radiators really, without losing cupboard space or having huge pipework done which would have to go on the walls.

Can't have underfloor heating without moving a water main and ripping out a built in cupboard that houses sink and dishwasher- so very expensive.

So I thought that as we need a new range cooker, if I got an Everhott this would heat the room, so we don't need radiators?

The room is 22 feet by 15 feet. I can fit one very slim radiator in on the opposite side of the kitchen to where the range would be.

Everything is so bloody expensive. Sigh.

Am I right in my thinking?

We looked into getting an Everhot. We went to their main showroom near us to have a nosey. They are lovely looking and yes, they would heat the room. We (principally my oh actually) decided against it because of the running costs, which are high. They are also expensive to buy, so it really depends on your budget. (I would have been happy to have sucked up the costs, but there you go). I used to have a solid fuel Rayburn and loved it.
Would plinth heaters work in your kitchen?
Of course there are also Agas, which are just as lovely, but I think are even more expensive to buy.

I have one - I love it. However, it doesn't give out as much heat as you think it would, although it depends on the room. It will certainly take the edge off though. There is a very well subscribed official Everhot FB Group, which might help you with your research.

I have an everhot. Love it far more than I loved my aga. But it definitely doesn't give off the same amount of heat as the aga did and we need the radiator in the kitchen as well. This may be because I keep it on eco (low) most of the time and only run at cooking temperature for 6 hours. Agree re joining the everhot Facebook group as it has loads of useful information on running costs.

I have just bought one and so far love it.

Our kitchen is 12’ ?” X 15’?” With one radiator ( runs off multifuel stove in sitting room) and it is lovely and warm when we come down. Our cottage also has (17”)stone internal walls downstairs.

So as yours is a lot larger it won’t be as warm. It quotes being cheaper than an electric Aga to run but we are yet to find out. Previously in December you would not have sat in the kitchen for breakfast unless you had your coat on.
I would go with either an Aga or an Everhot if you can afford it. We went to Skipton where they sell both and the man is extremely knowledgeable and helpful although initially we had looked locally. I wanted to compare them and it was very helpful and I love mine. It has actually made me excited about cooking again.
