Stopping the end of cycle alert Miele tumble dryer

Hi,
I am very happy to own my own tumble dryer at last #excitinglifegoals
Less happy that I cannot stop it trying to alert me that it has finished its cycle. And alert me again. And again.
The Miele washing machine I bought at the same time had an option to silence it (I turned the dial to "other Programmes" and it offered a settings option. The wretched tumble dryer does not. When I search online all I can find are comments about its practically silent operation. All very well but no good to run at night because of the infuriating chirping when it ends.
All suggestions gratefully received. Thank you.

Does it have a button with “summer” written above it?

winsinbin · 21/12/2018 11:58

Mine has a BUZZER button to turn the noise off.

duriandurian · 21/12/2018 13:47

No- are your buttons on the front?

Ok the handbook is here

manuals.coolblue.be/c0/miele-tce-530-wp-active-plus.pdf

And it’s P19. How to program it is on page 65

THANK YOU!!! Brilliant! Will look now!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share the information and link. I am truly grateful.

Have you managed to program it to off?

duriandurian · 21/12/2018 18:16

Yes, it was Super easy. And now I can be happily outsourcing clothes drying without setting my teeth on edge. Thank you

Oh I LOVE that beep even though I hear it in my fucking sleep because I am forced to get the clothes out straight away and fold them. No more ironing!

duriandurian · 21/12/2018 18:35

doesn't mention that we happily go around rumpled

Which tumble dryer do you have? I'm looking at getting a heat pump one and found this by looking for their end of cycle alarms!

Taoista · 04/08/2020 11:44

Hi! Did you ever find the answer to that? I’m struggling with the same annoying sound and I can’t see how to stop it.

dingledongle · 13/08/2020 20:15

Anyone?

8catsisnotunreasonable · 16/08/2020 02:49

There's a link to the manual further up in the thread - OP reprogrammed hers and stopped the beeps 👍🏼

AggroWholesome · 11/12/2020 03:32

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong? I am following the directions exactly as written in the manual. Open door, knob on setting, hold down star/stop, close door until it flashes, but then nothing happens. Whether I keep holding down or whether I let go. No program option appears. Advice? The buzzer is going to be my end!

durtro060 · 03/01/2021 23:52

Miele's Instruction Manual fails to tell you that in order to enter the programming cycle, the 2 arrows < and > must be showing on the screen either side the small square with clock hands in it.
If not, touch that symbol. Then the Instructions in the Manual work. Scroll to P19. Select with START/STOP. 01 will show. It's the factory default i.e. Buzzer ON.Press < to change to 00 = Buzzer OFF.
Confirm by pressing START/STOP again.

Redwise10D · 19/01/2021 19:25

I am here to thank durtro060 for the VITAL DETAIL missing from the Miele programmable functions! I have been struggling with the incessant beeping, as well, and could not get the programming changed. Thank you!!!!

MWB21 · 03/04/2021 17:05

I am still not getting to the Programming options. When I open the door to the dryer the start/stop light turns off. How are folks getting this to work? The end of cycle buzzer is driving me crazy!!!

Redwise10D · 03/04/2021 18:00

Here's what I wrote in my instruction manual after the help from this group:
To enter programming the symbols < > must be showing on either side of the square clock symbol. Touch the clock symbol until < > shows up. THEN follow instructions listed as follows:
Buzzer. Scroll to P19
Select Start/Stop
01 shows up. Change to 00. Confirm by pressing start/stop

MWB21 · 03/04/2021 23:20

Thank you - all set now!!

BrainStrainedByBuzzer · 30/05/2021 22:59

I have Miele T1 heat pump tumble drier. The buzzer does my head in so I followed instructions to get into programme mode. There are modes 1.2.4.5.6.7.8.11.12.13.14.19,20 and 23 according to the manual on P64. But for me there is one missing when I scroll through. Which one? P19 of course, the one to turn the buzzer off. Any ideas anyone?

Billymatronics · 26/04/2022 21:13

Hi. Hoping I’m not too late to get peoples attention on the old thread - I have same problem MWB21 reported. Infuriatingly I once changed settings before but missed the buzzer one… and now I can’t get it back, I’m following the clarified instructions above but when I open the door even if I make the < > arrows come up the green Start sensor is unavailable to hold down to get me into the programming … anyone else had this problem?

Billymatronics · 26/04/2022 21:43

Ignore me! I persevered a couple more minutes and contrary to the instructions above mine would only work if the < > arrows were not present. You have to press the Start button when it’s unlit with door open. And the part of the instruction that wasn’t clear in mine was that you had a very quick window of opportunity to release the button when it went solid green. Fingers crossed it’s quiet at 2am when it finishes it’s cheap electricity run!

For the Miele TXD 160 WP heat pump dryer, I was able to piece together enough clues to get into the Programming Level this way:
(1) Start with the dryer off, and the door closed.
(2) Turn the knob to one of the programs. The "Start / Add laundry" sensor button will illuminate.
(3) Open the dryer door. The "Start / Add laundry" sensor button will turn off.
(4) Push where the "Start / Add laundry" sensor button is located, even though it is not illuminated. Hold that button.
(5) Close the dryer door while continuing to hold that "Start / Add laundry" sensor button.
(6) Promptly, the "Start / Add laundry" sensor button will illuminate and flash rapidly. Keep holding it: after a few seconds it goes out, and then a second or two later turns solidly on. Immediately let go of that button when it turns solidly on.
(7) Then, after a second or two, the dryer will enter the Programming Level.

I found that the above sequence worked whether or not in between steps (3) and (4) I pressed the square clock symbol to illuminate the "<" and ">" sensor buttons.
