Offer accepted- purple bricks

We finally had an offer on our house a couple of weeks ago and have just had an offer accepted on a house that is on the market with purple bricks. We love the house and we managed to get it for a good price. Spoke to our conveyance this morning and he mentioned that purple bricks are quite difficult to deal with.
I've never actually spoken to anyone at purple bricks as all viewings and negotiations were with the current owners.
Anyone had any dealings with purple bricks. We are looking to really push the sale as we have a cash buyer and the house we are buying is empty so we really want to move sooner rather than later. Are purple bricks as bad as my conveyance thinks?

We sold using Purple Bricks and didn’t have any trouble from that end, but we didn’t use their conveyancing services. I’d heard that they were quite poor.

They are using their conveyance service so maybe that's what he meant. Hope they aren't too rubbish.

We have used purple brick selling our house and no problems at all. We used our own solicitor.

Purple bricks is an advertising company rather than a traditional agent. It’s their conveyancing service which has a poor reputation

I suppose it's a wait and see job. The current owners did send me a message saying to contact them anytime with anything so hopefully they will help push things on as well.

Yes they are shit. We lost our house due to their incompetence, but the main issue with us was we were relying on them to find us a new buyer. I think as long as you dont expect too much from them & are happy to chase chase chase then there's no reason why it won't go through. Usually the other EA & conveyancers in the chain pick up the slack & really earn their money when Purplebricks are involved. Good luck.

Eeekkk thanks. My converyancer is good (We've used him before) and our mortgage broker says he will keep checking on things as well. Our buyer is good to go and we have a mortgage approved already so it really shouldn't be a hard job on their end. Our solicitor knows we want to push it with timescale so hopefully they will chase. I hate this time period before exchange. So stressful.

I have sold with Purple Bricks. After the sale, all the other EAs took the time to keep the conversation going and gently nudge people along, PBs did absolutely naff all. I leaned on our rep for something but it took her two weeks so I may as well not have bothered.

We were signed up for their conveyancing service but changed our minds and paid the release fee to go with a local firm. That's the only time in the whole selling process that PBs reacted with any urgency! The phone rang within seconds of me emailing to let them know. I guess their local experts get a kickback if they sell you the conveyancing too.

We also wanted to push our sale... we are now into week 9. Unfortunately it's going to be luck of the draw and it is tough without EA support. Good luck
