Kitchen splashback ideas

I have got new kitchen with cashmere gloss units.
Flooring is light grey matt tiles.

Please recommend which colour tiles for kitchen splashback? I prefer less grout areas so cleaning is easier.
Which colour paint for walls? I thought about polished pebble. I am not sure whether this will be suitable and confused.

Please share your ideas to decorate a kitchen with cashmere units.

Have you thought of glass splashbacks? Can come in any colour you want but depends on the look you’re going for as it looks very modern. No grout to clean!

We’ve just gone for polished pebble walls with dark grey gloss cupboards. Our splashback is zenith, in black, the same as our worktops. It looks beautiful.

Thank you for the replies.
@Bath9000 - I thought about glass splashback. It looks really good. But, many feedback are that it is expensive to replace if anything break. So, prefer large size tiles instead of regular kitchen tiles which has more grout.

@Shelley54 - Good to hear. If possible, could you please post a pic of your kitchen wall? No problem if you can't

Glass is fairly cheap and easier to replace ( you can do it yourself) than tiles. It’s held on with silicon sealant and is tempered so timeless are more likely to chip than the glass crack. You could get 2 or 3 smaller panels than one big one if replacement cost is a worry. You can have them painted the same colour as your walls for that seamless look.

Hi
I have been looking for glass splashback too, but have never seen it in RL. wonder if they look like plasticHmm...

masterstef · 10/12/2018 23:07

You can get (tough) glass cut to size fairly cheaply then just paint the back and it looks like those glossy tiles. Have done it twice now and had one of our renovations featured in a national newspaper!

I have dark grey 'glass splashbacks' but they are plastic if that makes sense. I love them, so much easier to clean than times and looks more modern.

We have tiles all around with a clear glass splashback over the tiles behind the hob. It looks great and is so easy clean.

I am having tiles. They are bespoke from a potter. Any size you like😁

I have a bright orange glass splash back and love it.
The cupboards are cream gloss and the worktop and stands are a mat black mottled stone which has seams etc running through it.
I think it looks great and in years to come can easily change the splash back for a different colour or style.

We went for glass tiles, tons of colours and sizes to choose from. Can be laid any way you like too. There is grout of course (don't choose white) and I was nervous about marking but 12 months in and they look as good as new.
