Heavy duty fixings for plasterboard

Hope PJ is around 😎.

I need to put up this v heavy shelf thing.

My walls are plasterboard with a really small cavity and then brick the other side. I use these normally after PJ told me what they were some months back.

But I need something that will take the weight of that shelf. Problem is that I can’t use anything much longer than that linked to because of the brick and narrow cavity unless I use something completely different.

All suggestions welcome, I haven’t got a clue!

This takes up to 113kg www.screwfix.com/p/gripit-assorted-plasterboard-fixing-kit-32-pcs/6165j

We have used these for a double mirror cabinet from Ikea in our bathroom and it is loaded with all toiletries. The cabinet alone is around 31kg.

Your shelf says it's 30kg.

This video from Ultimate Handyman is where we heard of them

Amazing, thank you! I will definitely go for those, I had seen the box on the screwfix page as I scrolled down but for some reason I didn’t click on it!

They are weird looking, our cabinet has been up over a year in our bathroom and the fixings seems incredible strong.

The other type that PJ recommended are also fantastic for plasterboard fixings but you do need the depth.

I bought a bag of 8 earlier, yes the other ones are good, I bought a big box of those and use them for most things but only just have the 25mm length.

Thanks again.
