Hello all. Can anyone recommend flat pack units for walk in wardrobe which can be adjusted to fit the space? TIA Smile

Would it be easier to get a decent carpenter who can make something bespoke to fit the space? We had ours done by a great carpenter and over the moon with it.

I'm also interested in these options. I suspect most handbuilt will be very expensive. I've had a look at the online order options. These are two I looked at for built in cupboards in general. I'm sure i saw one that specialises in walk in wardrobes too.

I haven't seen the output of these types of companies in real life but they seem a little above the Ikea type ones and more flexible in size. I'd be interested in other options though if anyone has any. Had a quote of 5k for carpenter built bookshelves/ unit so expect wardrobe would be more painful.

We currently have the Ikea system that looks like scaffolding. It's brilliant for our rental home but a little limited for something more permanent.

Ikea pax?

Thanks folks. I love the Jali designs but they don't do walk in wardrobes. I spoke to them and they suggested buying a bookcase and they'd customise it so I could put in a clothed rail.
But looking at price Ikea Pax looks ok. Do you think you buy an open wardrobe and assemble it inside the cupboard?

Pax might be difficult to assemble in a more confined space-maybe the Ikea algot system would work if you’re trying to turn a cupboard into a walk in wardrobe?

Pax will be hard to build in a small space.

Maybe look at a system like Vitsœ which is open and wall mounted.
