We live in a rented property, and the back door has aboit 1.5cm at the bottom where theres nothing there IYSWIM, so all the cold is coming in and making the house freezing, tried a draught excluder to no avail, Landlord said it's not his problem? Its also got a square hole in it that's been bordered back up, an old cat flap. Does my landlord have to do anything to remedy the problem or is it on me?i could attach the bristle things that are supposed to be under the door? Thank you

for that size, consider a rubber strip that acts as a flap. as used on garage doors.

post some pics please. Show the sill as well.

wooden doors and frames are easier than plastic.

Pencil for size, all across the bottom of the door, pencil goes to the outside

I had this, the rain and snow used to come in. The landlady changed the door for us. I'm sure there is more simple solutions but definitely a landlord responsibility.

Ok thank you, I'll pester my Landlord. It's an open plan so all the cold coming in is making the living room cold too! Not good with a baby

Anything shoved against the gap will make a big difference. A rolled up old towel or pillow with a couple of elastic bands would do the job.

A brush seal is a very quick and easy fix. Two screws into the door and you're done
