Help! DIY Kitchens Luca Gloss pelmet/cornice question!

Am just about to order our Luca Gloss kitchen from DIY Kitchens and I'm having a panic. I thought I needed pelmet/cornice for it to work properly, but I now realise it's optional. Does anyone have this kitchen without pelmet/cornice? Does you like how it looks? I assume the end panels then need to be trimmed to size, does that cause any issues with there being an unfinished edge somewhere (I assume at the top where it wouldn't be visible?)
Looking at pictures I think I prefer it without pelmet/cornice, looks smoother, but I want to be sure it will work in reality! Thanks Smile

Diy K do have some customer kitchens on their site here, that may be able to help you make a decision?

Thank you, I've looked at those and definitely prefer the look without the pelmet etc., but would love to hear from anyone who's got the kitchen what works best in practical terms, how easy it is to fit without them, whether it looks ok?

We have this kitchen with no pelmet/cornice, it works fine. IIRC the only thing which needed changed was that the fitters had to trim down the end panels for the wall cupboards, I think they might be sized assuming the presence of the pelmet so they were too long.

Thank you! That's good to know, do the end panels look ok trimmed down?

All end panels are over sized regardless including the depth.
unless your having them made to the mm they will need cutting.
it looks fine anyhow
