Right, I have an absolute house full of pax wardrobes.
We have had some from 19 years ago, collapsed them and moved them 3 times, always go back together beautifully, sturdy and very cheap interior fittings compared to other manufacturers.
So, firstly, if you are having hinged doors be aware that the top and bottom holes will be unavailable for interior drawers/baskets depending on where you put them. Drawer runners are located at the bottom, basket runners are located at the top. Remember this when planning. Hanging rails are unaffected as use the middle holes.
The middle hinges may differ from a normal door to a mirror door, my advice is measure or count the holes to work out where it goes. Also in store, work out how many holes a particular thing takes up, ie a drawer or basket etc. You need to work out clearance. I know that the planner will say one thing but sometimes you can drop it down a hole or move it up a hole.
If you are building then tipping them into place, plan out where you want shelves/baskets/drawers and lay the two side pieces immediately next to each other. That way you can attach the runners without having to be inside a wardrobe when upright and having to make sure your runners are in the right place to line up with the other side.
They are fairly straight forward to put together, Ikea offsets the holes so it can only go one way.
Be aware that due to skirting board you can't put it against a wall all the way, and if you have carpet the back will sit on the carpet gripper so you need to adjust the feet at the front. Use a spirit level. Also with this in mind if the wardrobe is sideways on as you come into a room there will be a gap at the back unless you remove the skirting board behind it.
I may have the equivalent of 12m of Pax
they are very flexible in terms of changing the fittings. We have them in the bedrooms and the boy's playroom. You can fit a 32" tv inside a double and it helps to hide it all away. It also hides, coats, shoes, bags, iron, hoover, xbox, all board games, lego etc. I totally love them.
