Just that really. Would you put on market now or wait until New Years.

Do you think Brexit going to have huge impact on property market. Bearing in mind I'm in a small town/village in the countryside.

I am pitting mine up for sale next week. I bought at this time of year, so I think there's a chance it will sell.

We have just re-listed due our buyer messing about for six months. I asked about Brexit and our agent said that is likely to affect more expensive properties - if you are in a 750k plus house you might be more likely to be willing to stay put. He said with the 2/3/400k houses, people need to buy something.

Hope that makes sense ( And hope he’s not talking bollocks!).

I also heard that half term is a good week for selling/buying,

Mines a £250k house but I'm in the country.

Personally, I have always found the opposite. Who wants to go looking at houses with the kids in tow as they're off school?

Alexalee · 18/10/2018 16:49

Put it on now... people waiting to buy until after brexit probably won't start looking until at least this time next year.

PurpleFlowersInMyHair · 18/10/2018 17:03

I think a lot of people are taking their houses off the market for Brexit / not getting the offers they want. So supply is going down. I do think it’s a buyers market but there are fewer houses on the market as a result, so the competition is less. Might actually prove to be a good time to sell.

Tulipvase · 18/10/2018 17:05

I agree with regards to the children Mildura but perhaps it’s a good time for people who wouldn’t normally have the time to be browsing?

PurpleFlowersInMyHair · 18/10/2018 17:05

I think if your house appeals to FTB you might be ok. They will be worried about getting access to credit post Brexit. Yes prices might go down but they will be in a worse position if they can’t get a mortgage.

I realise my posts are contradictory because there are no easy answers!

BigFishFace · 18/10/2018 17:08

If you want to move, put the house on the market now and see what happens. No one can begin to guess what will happen in the next few weeks and months with Brexit. Keep calm and carry on, as it were.

AutumnGirl78 · 18/10/2018 18:57

Mine has just gone on. It's a FTB house and i have been realistic with the price. We dont NEED to move though so if it doesn't sell thats ok...but I'll be keeping it on the market for a good substantial time before I would consider taking it off

peachypetite · 20/10/2018 07:22

I'd get it on asap and price it for a quick sale.
