House looking over a park

We're thinking about buying a house right opposite a park and I'm a little nervous about this. Does anyone have any experience of living opposite a park?

The house is right opposite the play area. We have small DCs so this will be great at the moment. But will we live to regret it when we're living with the noise in 10/30 years time?

And I know local teens congregate in the play area in the evenings. Is this going to cause disruption and noise?

I know it's impossible to know. I'm thinking about asking a few neighbours. But in the meantime any first hand experiences from you guys would be really useful.

Thank you.

Read on a thread here a while back that roads leading up to a park get covered in dog poo as people take their dogs to the park for a walk and they crap en route.

I wouldn’t be put off
Depends on area
Our local park was a real community hub and houses surrounding it were very sought after
Closed at dusk

Depends on the area. And luck. But a better area will have further likely hoods of it being an issue.

Parents back onto a park and other than the odd noisy dog they’ve never had any issues. Just the benefits of green views, extra wildlife, no overlookIng houses and extra sun.. win...win...win!

I lived next to a tiny village green with a bus stop. One family with teenage kids made every Friday, Saturday a noise fest as they used the stop as their local hangout.

*not being an issue even

I wouldn't.
