Wondering has anyone used Doorsteps for selling their property? The reviews look a lot more realistic than Purple Bricks
I'm not happy with my estate agent. The house has only been on the market for two weeks and I've had one offer which I didn't accept in the first week. Since then the agents have been 'off' and appear to be really miffed that I didn't accept the first offer which was 10% under. I know where Ive made the mistake which was to negotiate the percentage payable and to ask that they market the house (in the first instance) higher than they valued it but less than the top valuation of three. I was aware that most buyers offer something lower. I'm also needing to move to a more expensive area and need to get as good a price as I can without borrowing anymore. It's really not a case of being greedy. So my thinking is that if I went with an online agent and paid upfront I could then market the house lower.
If anyone could advise me I'd be really grateful, I'm hardly sleeping with the worry of not knowing what to do for the best

Did you give a flat no to the offer or attempt to negotiate it up to an acceptable level? Just interested to know because it's possible the offer could be revived.

Wow, we negotiated back and forth for a day and I gave my final price I'd be happy to accept. The buyer wouldn't go there. The thing is I just cant afford to accept a 10% reduction as well as pay thousands to an estate agent. Hence my question about online agents
Thanks for responding
