Range cooker - windows or solid doors? Please help!

We are currently looking for a range cooker for our new house and are torn between a few option.
For those with a range - do you prefer having solid doors or windows through which you can see inside? I love the idea of not worrying about cleaning inside windows, but am concerned having solid doors will be a nightmare when baking? Would love some advice!
Also - does anyone have any pictures of a fitted Falcon range or any opinions on the brand?
Thanks so much!

I've had two ranges and hate them. Am just in the process of having a new kitchen fitted with an induction hob with two separate ovens underneath and an eye level oven for baking. All have glass windows. I wouldn't consider an oven without.

I've just chosen a Falcon without glass windows. I literally couldn't face scouring one clean again - we had a Britannia range before and it was an ongoing battle to keep clean. It also looks a lot nicer from the front. I've got this in slate grey and I'm very very impressed with it.

Thanks both - really helpful. Due to the layout of the kitchen a range is really the only option for us.
TomHardy - that falcon is definitely on we are considering! Does it annoy you that there is no clock or timer on it? I don’t think I ever use the timer on our current oven but now I’m thinking of a range without one I’m worried I’ll miss it?
Thank you

No I had a timer on my Britannia and never used it once in 15 years Grin. I'm always floating in and out of the kitchen and just keep an eye on things or set the timer on my phone if its a cake. I can't say how pleased I am with it and we've got the matching hood with LED spotlights. The induction hob is particularly impressive - the boost function gets a pan of cold water to the boil in a minute or less. The only thing we've had to change is putting a 45amp fuse into the consumer unit.... our last one was 40amp. Everything in it is just so solid... the trays, the grill.

We have an electric induction range with windows to the oven doors. I love it. Really useful to see how things are coming along. I use the timer regularly.

We have an aga. No windows. It is my favourite non living thing in the world.

I love windows, especially when cooking something that is better without opening the door - yorkies or sponge cake for example.

I have a range master - one oven has a window the other is a solid door. Use both depending what I'm cooking.

Thanks everyone - really helpful. Has anyone tried the Falcon
Continental range?

I have windows, they get mucky, there is no point to them tbh 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have a Stanley and solid doors. Less to keep clean!

I have a timer attached to the side of my microwave which I've used for years. Works for me.
