Agh I'm trying to find the perfect sage green for my kitchen. I love pigeon in pictures but the tester looks sooo dark. Has anyone used Mizzle?

Sorry I am of no help at all whatsoever as I clicked on your post thinking it was in the baby names section, I came on to say those are both terrible names!

justaweeone · 23/09/2018 15:17

Mizzle is lovely but quite pale, have you considered Lichen?
Also does it need to be farrow and ball?

catinboots9 · 23/09/2018 15:26

Non it doesn't have to be F and Ball. I just saw pigeon online and fell in love with it. Open to other sigggestions!!!

I have French Grey in F&B in my bedroom and that is very sage like.

I wasn't paying attention and thought this post was in baby names Blush I was horrified that someone was thinking of naming their baby Mizzle Grin

Just remembered!
Our kitchen units are hardwick white
Love the colour, had it over 11 years and never tire of it.

Please excuse the odd picture, trying not to out myself, but pigeon really is the most wonderful colour. Utterly different depending on the light of the room though - grey, green or even a little blue. This is in due west facing light. Wouldn’t call it sage though.

The picture might help 🙄

I love Mizzle but also wouldn't say it's a sage green, it has more grey/blue shades like a lighter shade of Pigeon in my north facing room.

Previous owners of my house had the kitchen and dining room painted in Cooking Apple Green and a slightly darker more sage-y green which looked nice together - I assume it was also a F&B based on rest of the house but never identified which one. So maybe look at shades close to Cooking Apple?

Phalarope · 23/09/2018 17:23

I’ve got pigeon in my north-facing bedroom. Looked ok from the tester. Is in fact a massively depressing green and I hate it.

justaweeone · 23/09/2018 19:00

When you buy a tester pot of paint put it on 2 large as possible pieces of paper ( you could buy a role of cheap lining paper)
Then move them about the room as well as looking at them in different lights.

dontcallmelen · 23/09/2018 19:52

@catinboots9 I have a tested mizzle on a piece of white paper, as I’m looking for a greeny grey for my front room, will post a pic tomorrow if that’s any help.

dontcallmelen · 23/09/2018 19:55

Also Dulux do a few nice sage green colours, one is melon sorbet I think it’s called & little Greene do eau de nil which is a pretty green.

dontcallmelen · 24/09/2018 08:48

This is the tester of mizzle

What about vert de terre, also F&B. We have it in our kitchen/diner and it’s sagey i think.
