Gap around range

Long story short we’ve bought a house with a fitted kitchen which isn’t so bad it needs replacing (wooden doors, granite worktops). Previous owner had an Aga which she took with her.
We weren’t able to find a range deep and wide enough to fill the gap. We’re happy with the range we’ve bought but the gap at the sides and back is unsightly and annoying.
The total gap at the sides is about 9cm and 10cm at the back. We’d like to fit a splash back too, preferably glass or stainless steel. We’ve had a quote for glass to fill the gaps and a splashback but they wanted £700 +. Those rubber worktop fillers aren’t designed to fit gaps that wide. The gap filler would need to attach to the units at the side and the wall at the back and preferably disguise the gap at the front as well. We were hoping a wine rack would fit but they are too wide. The granite top stops us widening the gap.
Any ideas gratefully received

Oooooh that's tricky! We had a few weird gaps in our kitchen but not around the cooker, just due to winky Victorian walls....my builder step dad cut to size matching plinths & cabinet doors but I don't think that would work for you. Maybe try getting a carpenter round to see if he has any ideas? Sorry not much help am I 😕

We persuaded the carpenter who rebuilt our conservatory to have a go and here’s the result. A bespoke wine rack made of MDF and the surround in the same. Will varnish the wine rack part as it matches the unit colours and paint the surround dark grey to blend with the worktop.

That's really great! Bet you're chuffed with that ☺👍

Thank you.
Possibly the narrowest wine rack in the world but a standard red fits just fine. Have been advised to use an oil based primer to proteçt the mdf from moisture. No more scrabbling on the floor to rescue knives etc that seemed to head lemming like to the edge! I’m delighted that at long last we have a not very expensive solution.
Next project is a replacement sink, tiles and extractor fan. The tiles will also be extended to form the splashback and we’ll have a “new” kitchen for a fraction of the the price.
