Furnishing small rooms on a budget

Hello, we're moving into a house with quite small rooms downstairs. There's also zero storage (kitchen is ok though). The rooms are squarish, ex council. We're a family of 3. What would you suggest for these rooms?

ENTRANCE HALL 2.89m x 2.44m (9' 6" x 8' 0")
LIVING ROOM 4.11m x 3.48m (13' 6" x 11' 5")
DINING ROOM 3.25m x 3.05m (10' 8" x 10' 0")
KITCHEN 3.63m x 3.32m (11' 11" x 10' 11")

Also the walls are dry lined, does that make it harder for shelves?

Big wall of Kallax in living room or dining room. More in the Hall - or maybe a pax wardrobe set up to hold coats, hoover etc.

Thank you! Would small corner sofa work in such a small lounge do you reckon? I'm worried about seating.

Try this
www.dfs.co.uk/content/dfs-planning-app#w7HoCSLhsO4UHhus.97
It's a designer bit on the dfs website, you can enter your room dimensions and then play around putting their different sofas in the room. Even if you don't buy from dfs it can give you a good idea! Stopped me making a mistake with ours! Have just looked at our plans, our room is very slightly (less than a foot) longer than yours and the same width. We have a two seater, a three seater, a lot of kallax and a small coffee table on the other wall. Looks fine, I think.

That's really helpful Bees, thank you! Don't suppose you'd be up for posting a pic of your similarly sized living room?

Good god no sorry, I'd have to name change and spend an hour tidying first!
We have two doors (on different walls) which reduces the space a bit. I have to say when I saw it empty the room looked really small but I'm surprised at how much we've got in it, though sofa shops do have some enormous sofas now which would just be too big. I tried corner ones out on the dfs visualiser but went for a recliner in the end.extra comfort while mumsnetting!
There's also a dulux visualiser to look at paint colours...

Haha, I understand! hides slatternly ways under rugs

I'm trying and failing to use the DFS app, I think I need to be on a computer rather than phone. Pics if helpful? The first two are the living room - the door pictured is the door to the dining room. There is another door into the living room. Third pic is dining room.

We have one massive sofa and I'm not sure where to put it! Or where to put shelving - the one blank wall (the other wall has a heater) seems to be the best place for the sofa.

I think the layout is the same or very similar to ours - is the fireplace alcove on an internal wall? If you're not using it for anything I would just ignore and view that as a blank wall. We have a sofa in front of the window, though the radiator isn't there. Other sofa on wall the entrance door is on, big unit with shelves and tv on the blank wall, and just coffee table on wall with dining room door (fire was plastered over before we moved).

It looks lovely by the way, and having a large dining room is such an advantage. Wish I did!
