Benchmarx kitchens - pricing

Hi, can anyone tell me if Benchmarx prices are open to negotiation at all? I’ve had a quote from them and it’s pretty competitive to be honest.
However I know when we had a Howdens kitchen in our last house we negotiated on the price, does Benchmarx do the same thing does anybody know?
Also, I’ve read they have done a sale in past years, the sales woman was cagey about it when I asked, does anybody know if it happens every year as I’ve seen it’s 20% off and that would make a huge difference
Thanks

I had a benchmarx designer round last week (just had the design through) she said to wait until October to order as there are discounts then.

Thanks that helps, when I asked the designer as I had heard it was October too she wouldn’t commit either way, so it’s helpful to hear it from someone else!

I got a Benchmarx kitchen last Oct in their sale. Definitely wait a few weeks.

Thank you, don’t want it until mid October anyway so this is all sounding promising:)

We negotiated big time with Benchmarx. We also got a quote from howdens and they both kept lowering the price and throwing in extras.

In the end we went for Benchmarx as we got a great price on flooring through them too.

That’s interesting to know.
How does one negotiate? Last time, the ex did all that but I’m going it alone this time round and generally rubbish at this stuff.
Feel tempted just to email the lady and ask for the absolute best price but she made it seem like it was already.....

I’d just say you have a cheaper quote elsewhere. Have you looked at DIY kitchens? Maybe worth getting a quote from there as they are competitive and have a good range. That’s where I’m getting ours from.

You need to get a quote from elsewhere and play them off against each other.

Thanks, DIY kitchens was my plan for tonight actually!

How much room to lower the quote can vary hugely between branches and who priced it, sometimes they go in with their lowest price and sometimes they inflate it so that people can negotiate. This is true of most trade type kitchen suppliers and often retail too.
It never hurts to get a like for like quote from a competitor and ask them to match or beat it. Their 'big bang' promo usually runs from now until the end of October and is generally the best time to get the lowest price. Howdens run their sale in October too so it is an ideal time to pit them against each other if you want to negotiate a good deal.
