I am a total redecorating newbie!
Our new house is fine but lots of the decor sets my teeth on edge and I would like to set some savings goals to sort things!

Downstairs toilet would need repainting and new toilet and sink plus new flooring (currently it is carpeted Envy)

And are there people who will just do the whole thing? Or otherwise what order should I get the jobs done in?

That wouldn't cost much at all. A basic sink and toilet set from B and Q can be as little as £150 plus another £100 for flooring at most.

Any general handyman should be able to do that in a day. They would remove the old sink, toilet and carpet. Put down whatever new flooring you want then plumb in the new toilet and sink.

Painting can be done afterwards. Although I am quite messy so depending on timing it could be done before he new flooring is down.

Ooh excellent! That is an achievable amount to save for as a first project. I think it will feel more like home once we have done some work like this

Regarding flooring - if you want lino/vinyl you can often get off cuts free or very cheap from local suppliers.

A downstairs WC really doesn't need to cost much to look good.

Mine was a £800 including titling, a hand made sink and wooden flooring.
