Any recent recommendations on wood burners, have been told that Clearview won’t meet new regulations!

Hi,
We’re hoping to buy a wood burner, but am finding it all quite confusing!
Was set to order a Clearview but the stockist said that he wouldn’t be able to recommend it, as it won’t comly with new regulations coming in soon.
Wondering about Stovax, Chesney, or trendy Chilli 🐧 Penguins!
Any advice, please?

Not exactly, but I would suggest a Multifuel rather than a woodburner.

It's very handy to have a few bags of smokeless fuel, in case you should run out of wood, or due to, say, bad weather or illness, are unable to get out and fetch or saw up more.

It also burns longer and gives out more heat than the same amount of wood, and easier to keep in overnight.

I use to have a small multifuel that heated the hot water cylinder as well, which was handy

The new regs for lower emissions are coming in in 2022 and some manufacturers have been quicker off the mark than others in offering stoves that comply with the new requirements. I don't think Chesney's offer any Eco-design ready stoves yet. The Stovax Vogue and Vision models are eco-design ready, I believe. ACR have quite a few models, as do Charnwood (British company, stoves made on Isle of Wight) and Contura (Swedish brand). No idea about Chilli Penguin. Best to find a local showroom and go in and have a look at what's on offer?

Bloody hell! Our Clearview is only a year old and is brilliant.

I can't recommend but would be interested to know what you choose, as we want another one.
