Inspired by another thread... are there any systems which work where you have more than one fixed thermostat in the house? And would you recommend it?

Drayton Wiser

I have in my house and can set different temps for different rooms at different times

We have Heatmiser Neo. I think there are better ones than that as I don't find it very user friendly on my phone. (I love the way it works though)

Thanks- off to investigate!

I wish we'd got these...they look lovely www.johnlewis.com/nest-learning-thermostat-3rd-generation/p2321168

chris2x1 · 20/08/2018 18:54

@lexer expensive to put in each room though

@chris2x1 - if they work the same way as Heatmiser Neo does you don't need them in each room. Areas are zoned. We have 3 thermostats and 1 water control panel (looks like a thermostat) in our 120 square metre house. Areas are zoned. It works perfectly for us.

Just thinking...we only have one actual thermostat (to control central heating), 1 for the water and 2 separate ones for different areas of underfloor heating. So a total of 4 in the house.

Best copes with multiple thermostats.

*Nest not Best!

We have Neo too. We have two thermostats upstairs (one for bedrooms, one for bathroom), two for the main living areas downstairs plus four others (downstairs bedroom, two downstairs bathrooms and hot water). Works brilliantly I think. Our heating is all underfloor downstairs except for one room hence the large amount of thermostats but I love how individually controllable it is (eg heating off everywhere for the summer except bathrooms for warm floors)

@lexer oh I know that, I just meant if you want a room by room control then nest would be expensive

But for 2/3 zones it would be ok!

Depends how much of a control freak you are (I am a big control freak)
