Removing splashback panel - seems to be superglued!

We have a splashback panel behind our hob. It was here when we moved in and it's not really our style so want to change it. It looked like it was just screwed in so removed screws and went round edges to get rid of any adhesive but it's stuck absolutely fast to the wall! I assume they've glued it. Could lever it out but don't really want to as it's glass so pretty much guaranteed to break and get shards everywhere. Anyone experienced this/any ideas to get it off?!

You could try dental floss or fishing line slipped across the back then pulled down using a hand either side and a sawing motion. I know that sounds bonkers but I once separated two units stuck together with sticky pads using floss. It should be safety glass so if it did break should break into little cubes like a shattered windscreen.

Will give it a shot, thanks - reading around the other suggestion seems to be a hacksaw blade slipped down the back which i'm not that keen on!

I just levered ours off. Previous owners had used no more nails & command strip tape. There was enough give to get a big long screwdriver in at the side by about an inch. Agree shouldn't shatter badly as usually safety glass. Mine came off whole. Let us know if floss works.
