Any advice on washing machine 'check water' error please?

I've read some advice on Bisch website but gives too many options. The thing is, the E14 / Check Water thing comes on not at once, but after a few minutes - after it starts filling with water.
This seems to have happened after we had a water supply disruption for about 20min. I've tilted the machine as advised (in case it's 'just pressure ploblem' and also plugged and unplugged).
Is it likely to be faulty flow valve or just a inlet pipe issue (maybe due to water disruption)? I'd rather not buy replacemet flow element is it's not that.
Thanks!

from what you describe, it's probably the gauze filter in the end of the flexible filling hose, clogged with grid and sediment.

You need to turn off the water and unscrew them. Often rubber gloves on your hands will give you enough grip. If not, buy a pair of water pump pliers

cheap ones will do.

you change the size of the jaws by sliding the slot up and down the pivot.

After removing the hose, run the tap briefly into a bucket to flush out loose dirt.

these

fit into the end of

this

you can probably just wash the old one in the sink, but a new spare is inexpensive.

thanks so much, PJ!
sorry for a daft question, but which side of the hose I would need to unscrew - the end that goes into machine or the one going into copper pipe? I'm guessing the latter and that the tap is what connects hose to pipe?

the one that goes into the tap.

the end that goes into the machine, in a dishwasher, is often underneath and very awkward to get at

the filter should be at the tap end.

In washing machines it is more likely to be near the top at the back, so fairly easy to change for a longer one if needed.

Modern machines often have a translucent protector over the hose, and a leak-detection box.

I did mean dishwasher, not WM - ridiculous mistake!
