New house new bed

Moving house soon. (fingers crossed)

Our new bedroom will take a superking - and it's time we changed the bed anyway.

Any suggestions? I like a firm mattress - I sleep on my back.

Budget - ? don't want a cheap bed but don't want to spend multiple £ks.

Eve mattress

Bought my new bed from Habitat a couple of years ago, very happy with it. Mattress - decided to give the mattress in a box thing a go as they all offer 100 days returns anyway. Did lots of research and picked Bruno in the end, as it's meant to be the firmest, and the coolest. Again, all good so far - and I followed them on Facebook for a few weeks to get a discount code when it came up.

Thanks for the replies.

How do these boxes mattresses fare after a few months? Do they stay firm or develop indents and bumps?

We're in a similar position and have been thinking about splurging on a premier inn style hypnos mattress....

Ah yes. My friend has one of the Hypnos mattresses.

I was at herhouse recently - should have asked for a lie down to test it.

I looked on line at Hypnos - I didn't see any prices. I guess one has to visit a showroom.

Hypnos are expensive but very good.

M&S do excellent beds and you can often get 20% off the mattress and bed if you buy together. I think M&S mattresses are by Relyon. They have differing firm and softer ones.

Buy a traditional mattress and it will last a long time. Buy the best quality you can. John Lewis might do Hypnos. Or try The White Company.
