Knocking through into dining room to create a kitchen dinner with bi-folding doors.

Can't decide on either an Island or penisula island.

We are having bi folds, love the way they open up a room.

Loving all the kitchens and giving me plenty of idea's.

We live in an old style cottage house, so want to keep the kitchen in the same sort of style but a little bit modern but also something that will stand the test of time and not date.

With regards to the raised bit on an island - is this so you can sit and eat at it? I though the island (without the raised bit) would have also been able to eat at or would it be too low?
