Son moving to London but where?

My son, 20, has a new job in Bank, London. He wants to rent a room somewhere that is easy to get to both work and the nightlife. Can anyone guide us on the best parts of town?

There's a new development right next to the dlr in lewisham which had a swimming pool etc and only 20 odd minutes to Bank. I work in Canary Wharf and lots of the younger people live there in room rentals as it's really handy and cheaper than East London. Think it's called glassmill.

Is that the one on the oh-shit roundabout Glass? There's a development there which was being advertised as having amazing views 🤔

Personally if he's a young urban thing, I'd be looking at the East Dulwich side of Peckham which is extremely up and coming nowadays but cheaper than Shoreditch. Possibly around Bellenden Rd. Also has plenty of night buses.
